Last week, Our Conservation Advocates, Chiyeso Lungu, and Violet Munasinyungwe represented CAZ at this year’s Environmental Protection Dialogue (EPD). This year’s EPD was themed; “Environmental Equity and Equal Protection”.
The EPD is an environmental accountability space that is multi-sectoral, bringing together delegates from government ministries, CSOs, CBOs, FBOs, corporating partners, private sector, traditional leaders, foreign dignitaries, communities, civic leaders, academia, youth & women associations, environmental activists & advocates as well as industry experts. The aim of the EPD is to collaboratively create solutions to Zambia’s environmental challenges and it demonstrates a shared goal towards the promotion of Zambia’s sustainable development through the protection of the environment.
This year’s theme reminds us that the environment is our own and so change action must start with us.
